Head Coach - Joe Calandra
Joe Calandra, Head Coach
Coach Joe has been coaching on Long Island and in the LIAHL at all age levels for the past 15 seasons, and is a Level 4 Certified USA hockey coach. He has a great deal of experience and patience with young players and is also known to be a great motivator and teacher of the game. Coach Joe works closely with his players to develop and assess each players progress throughout the season. He believes in teaching discipline and sportsmanship through structure, repetition, and a good work ethic while maintaining a fun environment allowing his players to learn and develop as hockey players. Most recently, in its inaugural season, Coach Joe was the Head Coach for the Middle School Great Neck Knights team where against more experienced teams, Joe brought his team to a 3rd place finish in a 16 team division. Coach Joe is a dedicated hockey coach and will be a great asset to the team and the Great Neck Bruins Organization.

All players must register through USA Hockey.com for next season. Upon registration you will be given a USA registration number that must be sent to your coach so you will be included on the official roster.
The 2021-22 season game schedule is developed in late August and will be communicated as soon as it becomes available.
We are projecting that we will start practices on or about September 13th. This is later than several competitor organizations so, we strongly encourage you to skate and work on your game over the summer.

Dan Marsella - Recreation Aide
The Bantam travel team will be competing in the LIAHL tier 3 bantam division. League and exhibition games will be held on Saturday's and Sunday's from September through March.
