YOUTH CLASSES
General Information
Course registration is on a first-come, first-served basis during regular registration department hours. Parents are required to stay for all children’s classes, except classes indicated. If you don’t see a class that meets your requirements, see our facility director about trying to coordinate another class.
Gymnastics/Tumble
Learn Gymnastics skills in a friendly environment that encourages movement and motivation. Students will learn to stretch, tumble, balance beam, hand stands, cart wheels and basic vault.
Students should wear comfortable clothes.

LEGO® Little Engineers - "ANIMAL KINGDOM" theme (Grades 2-3): Enjoy learning to build simple machines like race cars and catapult basketball sets. Little Engineers programs include a weekly LEGO® build and introduction to coding activity. These classes are great for second and third graders who love LEGO®, or kids who haven’t worked with LEGOS® before.
LEGO® Simple Science Blue Course (1st Grade ONLY): This program includes a weekly LEGO® build that will introduce kids to scientific ideas and concepts - and always in a fun and playful way! Just like all our X-ROBOTX classes, this program features built in time for free building and socializing to relax and get to know your instructors and the other kids.
Simple Science classes are great for first grade students who love LEGO, or kids who haven’t worked with LEGOS® before. THESE CLASSES DO NOT INCLUDE CODING, but they are a great way to introduce all kids to a love of science, building, and design.
LEGO® Robotics 2 (Grades 4+): Pre-requisite: Robotics 1.This program is a top to bottom program for learning the fundamentals of robotics, using the most successful LEGO® robotics kit of all time: the EV3! Each week, we will build on our prior work, while we assemble LEGO® EV3 robots and code them to do everything from battling, to racing, to robo-bowling. Continue into our programs and learn how to use environmental sensors on your robot.

Rhythmic Gymnastics
Instructor Irina Aksenov, is a former Rhythmic Gymnastics Ukrainian National team member and a USA Gymnastics professional coach, with over 20 years of coaching. Her students have competed at State, Regional and National competitions.
Rhythmic Gymnastics is an elegant sport, but it allows students to become flexible, strong and improves coordination.

Exploring Clay

Anything can be hand built by you. We will show you how. Begin by pulling the clay, building your piece, to cleaning and glazing it. The sparkling results will amaze you!

Accessible Art
This program provides children and young adults with all abilities to have the opportunity to explore the love of art with few limitations. Various art media explored in the field of art/crafts in a passionate, caring environment. This course is taught by special education instructors with extra special TLC.

I’m a Big Kid Now
Designed for children 18 months to 3 years of age who have never been to school. Introduction to learning skills such as basic math, reading and more.

Kids in the Kitchen
Cooking, math, science, reading, and history--all mixed up into one pot of fun! In Kids in the Kitchen, your child will learn to make: cookies, bread, brownies, Fruit Kabobs, muffins, pizza, salads and more! Teaches children safety, nutrition, cleanliness, measuring and use of equipment. Come join the fun. (All ingredients are kosher).
