KAYAK, SAILBOAT AND PEDAL BOAT RENTALS

Pedal Boats unavailable for the 2023 season

Kayak rentals include boat, paddle and life jacket. We offer both single and double kayaks.

Kayak rentals are done in-person at Steppingstone Park


To rent a sailboat, passing a Safety Sail Evaluation is required. A minimum of 2 persons, and maximum of 5, may rent a sailboat. You also have the option of renting a sailboat with a captain.

It is best to book your rental at least three days in advance. There is a two-hour minimum for all rentals and boats MUST be returned 30 minutes prior to the end of the rental period.

  • Rentals are on a first-come, first-served basis when in person at the Marina. Reservations online are preferred.
  • All boaters must wear the provided personal flotation device at all times.
  • An Assumption of Risk and Release liability form must be filled out and signed prior to renting.
  • The Park District is not responsible for any lost or broken personal items.
  • All children ages 16 and under must be accompanied (and have waiver signed) by an adult (18+).
  • Absolutely NO ALCOHOL permitted on any boat.

PEDAL BOAT (ages 5 +)
 Resident: $60/first 2 hrs.
 Non-resident: $70/first 2 hrs.
 Each additional hour $15/hr.
 
SINGLE KAYAK (ages 16+)
Resident $30/first 2 hrs.
Non-resident $40/first 2 hrs.
Each additional hour $10/hr.

DOUBLE KAYAK (ages 5 +)
Resident $60/first 2 hrs.
Non-resident $70/first 2 hrs.
Each additional hour $15/hr.

ENSIGN SAILBOAT (2 person min./5 person max)
Resident $80/2 hrs.
Non-resident $110/2 hrs.
*RESCUE FEE $50
