Bruins Development Program (ages 5-12)

This mid-level Bruins Development Hockey program prepares players for the next level of competition. Following USA Hockey’s American Development Model (ADM), our coaching staff organizes station-based training to increase puck touches and overall on-ice activity.

Meets Mondays 6:30-7:30 p.m.

September 11 through December 18 (No October 9)

Equipment
The safety and protection of all participants are of the utmost importance. All hockey players are required to wear an HECC approved helmet with cage, neck guard, shoulder & elbow pads, hockey pants, cup, shin guards and hockey gloves. Each skater must provide their own stick. The Parkwood Pro Shop has packages available and will be happy to help you with all of your equipment needs.

Veterans Day skaterNew York Rangers Learn-to-Play Program (ages 5-10)

NYR Hockey Development team partners with our coaching staff, to provide all instruction.

This 10-week introductory level, co-ed hockey program has a maximum capacity of 25 participants. Since space is limited, it is important to register as soon as possible.

Hockey is more than just a game. More than skating, passing and stick-handling, hockey is about responsibility, respect and teamwork.  Learn to Play on-ice instruction plans have been developed in collaboration with experts from USA Hockey and Hockey Canada. It is taught by certified instructors and led by National Hockey League Alumni.

The low program fee of $295 includes head-to-toe equipment, for your child to keep! (However, there is a Participation Fee associated with the program which offsets ice and coaching expenses).  
Choose Sunday, 9-10 a.m. OR 11 a.m.-12 p.m. (you may only register for one).

New York Rangers Rookie League (10 & Under)

This is an in-house (non-travel) hockey program for ages 10 & Under.  Each player has the chance to put their skills to the test in a fun, competitive environment.  Participants learn the basic game and team concepts while building important qualities on and off the ice: TEAMWORK, RESPONSIBILITY, and RESPECT.  Twice a week, for 10 weeks, players are led by NY Rangers staff.  It is an exciting way to meet new teammates and play some hockey.  At the end of the season, we celebrate everyone's accomplishments by hosting a Junior Rangers Jamboree for all of the players in the league (following COVID-19 safety protocols).  

League Fees Include: ($395):

 * 1 game plus 1 practice each week per season
 * All games are hosted at the Andrew Stergiopoulos Ice Rink - no travel necessary.
 * Junior Rangers jersey (limited to your first registration)
 * Celebratory end-of season *Junior Rangers Jamboree (*tentative based on COVID-19 safety protocols).
