Updates for Members of the Parkwood Family Aquatic Center

We have good news regarding our procedures and policies at Parkwood Family Aquatic Center. After Gov. Cuomo's announcements 2 days ago, we are able to significantly modify how we operate going forward.

Beginning immediately, these 3 major policies have been modified:

1) Hopefully to your delight as much as ours, we are no longer requiring reservations be made in order to use the pool. Pool members are welcome to come and go as they please.

 2) Pool capacity has returned to 100% and we are permitted to arrange our lounge chairs the way we have in years past. For everyone's convenience, additional lounges and chairs will be set up in time for this coming weekend. Certain sections will still have socially distanced lounges and chairs in compliance with Board of Health policies.

 3) Facilities are no longer required to close down for cleaning and disinfection. Do not worry, we will of course continue to clean, but without kicking you out! Cleaning will be done throughout the course of the day.

Lap lane reservations will still be required for the time being, however, 2 people are permitted in each lane. Lap lanes are available for rental by visiting our catalog under "Aquatic Reservations." The additional rental options are now available, labeled Lap Lane 1B - 6B.

Program announcements will be made along with links to registration- so stay tuned. We plan on offering a full slate of programs beginning when the pool opens full time on June 26. Programs are to include water aerobics, group lessons, private lessons and swim team!

More updates to take effect when the pool opens full-time on June 26:

All showers will open in our locker rooms and family bathrooms!

Guests will be permitted to attend the pool with members. Regular fees will apply.

The following COVID-19 Guidance is still in effect:

  • Fully vaccinated individuals do not need to wear a face covering in the park.
  • Individuals do not need to wear a face covering if they maintain at least 6 ft. of social distance.
  • Face coverings are required if you are not fully vaccinated and cannot maintain social distancing.

Don't miss out on a summer you won't forget. Parkwood Family Aquatic Center is the BEST "stay-cation" you will experience.
